Smooth On questions.
« on: May 22, 2016, 09:09:00 PM »
When using smooth on, should it be warmed up first? I found it stiff and hard to apply quickly. If so, how warm should it be?
after I finished gluing up the bow, I tented over it with a moving blanket and put a space heater where it can blow into the open end. I can get it to about 160 degrees in there like this. If I left it for two hours and let it cool slowly afterwards, will that be ok?
Dave.

I usually add the A and B to a cup then hit for 6 to 9 seconds in the microwave. This makes it easy to mix and spread. Just don't heat it too much or it will setup quick.

I have always just put A and B into my hotbox while it warmed up and I am cleaning off my bench.  Just a few minutes and it is ready to go.
