Earlier this year I was persuaded to join the First PA Invitational Bow Trade. At the time I hadn't built a bow for over a year. Now, I'm glad I did.
Yesterday when I got home from work there was a box sitting in my chair. When I opened that box I found another box, wood this time...
...and inside this box I found this...
The wood carrying case was special to begin with but this bow is exceptional. She is an osage takedown bow with flipped tips, homemade takedown sleeve, halibut skin backing and water buffalo tip overlays and tip inserts.
The case has dense foam bow holder and arrow holders for 11/32" and 5/16" arrows and a 2 compartment storage area for strings(2 included with the bow)and other accessories...
This set was made for me by a long time member of PA from Bavaria. Simon is an incredible bowyer in his own right and his other work shows just how much he puts into his work. Thanks Simon. I will cherish this bow for the rest of my life and hopefully I can christen it with blood from a hunt in the future.
Hope y'all enjoy the pics of this wonderful archery set from Bavaria.
