Hill Style Tip wedges
« on: July 27, 2016, 12:10:00 PM »
Where could a guy buy some already finished out in glass? I have built a few r/d bows before and after a 15 year lay off I have decided to build myself an ASL. I still have my oven, and a 15" riser that I cut out years ago when I had a shop, but I do not have any power tools or shop to make the tip wedges. This will be a kitchen counter build. I'm sure the wife will be understanding.    :)   Thanks

I don't have the answer, but I'm planning to use tip wedges in my next ASL and will use wood.  My thoughts are to use the tips of thin tapers and finish the grind by hand.

A kitchen counter build along would be beneficial to beginning tool deprived bowyers.   :)

I think a guy bought some from 7 Lakes???
I just grind my own from scrap glass, and sand paper on a flat surface.

I think Ekin with HHA sold them at one time, probably still does.
