I recently bought a 1954 Bear Kodiak off of ****, and the gentleman who sold it to me was not as forthright as I would have liked regarding the bow's condition. One of the tip overlays is damaged and needs to be replaced. I have some slabs of water buffalo horn laying around, left over from my delusions of adequacy regarding my knife making skills. Would this be an adequate material for the overlay? It has some very subtle streaks in it, and I think it would be quite striking on a bow.
