Bloodyarrow, I think most of this is night time sign. Slipping those swamps on foot is my passion as far as hunting goes.Regardless more than a couple of pigs are doing this. RC

amazing what a little rain will do for hog rooting, isn't it, RC???? Over in Carolina its been so hard they broke their noses if they tried all last year...good to see this coming now.

Yep Ray, A lot of rain recent and a boomer water oak crop this past year has got these southern pigs in good shape. every one I`ve seen since the new year has been slick and fat.Should be some very good spring time pig hunting this year.

I live out from Baxley actually about half way between Hazlehurst and Alma on Satilla creek. I`m not sure where Thomaston is.RC

Now I know that hog hunting is fun, but they are becoming a deal even in Iowa. I hope the hunters in southern Iowa do their best to shoot every one they can and have fun doing it, and then shoot another. I don't want them in my woods. I hear the little ones are better eating. So if I go along with the guys this year I will shoot two little ones and call it one big one.
