2 Piece nut Cracker Longbow

All maple wood with Glass backing.
This is my first attempt at a 2 piece hinge style. I used a stainless marine hinge, I know it is back wards, but on a good note my fore finger rests above it. The hinge is also wide. On the next one I will grind it down so I can get close to center shot.
All in all it turned out quite well other than the fact the Bow is only 35# @66".  In my opinion this is better than an FG handle you dont have to fight it, to pull it apart,........ it merley collapses like a wet noodle....            

Sorry no full draw or braced pics.  Bow shoots well over 150 arrows thru it so far.

Nice to see someone using this ancient idea with modern materials.  Most of the hinged bows historically weren't much, if any heavier draw than 40-45#.

Those Olde Tyme guys; especially those bowyers east of say Germany/Italy were really high tech long before Europe caught on to things.  They were creating high-tech composite bows for a thousand years while Europeans and English were still making self-bows.
