I'm looking into making a takedown style recurve, not an actual takedown, but a bow with limbs permanently attached to the riser. I know it's not a new concept several bowyers (ie Bud Hitt) have done bows this way, so I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the matter.
Most specifically I was hoping for some advice on limb design and riser attachment.
Does anyone here make TDs or build this way that could help me with stacking? I'm looking to get between 45# and 50# @28" but I have no experience with stacking and thus no idea how to achieve the desired draw weight.
As far as riser attachment I was wondering what angles would give me the best performance and if anyone has a method I could use to avoid crooked alignment.
