Induced reflex from sinew backing question
« on: November 26, 2016, 01:04:00 AM »
So I'm building a sinew backed hickory bow. I put the first couple layers of sinew on last week and its settled into about 1'' of reflex, mostly along the outer 2/3 of each limb. And I still need to do a final strip down the crown too give it a nice convex profile.

Is there such thing as too much reflex from sinew?
And will the reflex affect the potential draw length?

Bow dimensions:
62'' ttt
1 3/4'' wide too midlimb tapering to 1/2'' at tips
(Stiff) handle and fades: 7 1/2''
