RIP ole friend.
You need a keg fridge. To hell with cans.

Those half kegs weigh close to 150# full. I played that game years ago.

Found time to finish this up for my best friend's wife. 13" belly mount riser 59" N2N 29.87# @ 28"
I like how the honey locust blended with the purpleheart once it got hot. I haven't shot it through the chrono but finding that light an arrow might be an issue.
Kind of a delicate little thing. BTW I don't have the correct limb bolts in it on these pictures.

Very nice, Ben. I've used black locust in the past, very pretty grain.

Roy this honey locust's grain picks up a purple cast when either heated with a heat gun or lightly burned when sanding so it really looks good with the purpleheart

Got my tip and riser overlays glued on and in the oven. Also got the back side of the limbs rounded off. Hopefully this weekend I can get a string on.

Sorry to hear about the fridge Roy.  My beer fridge is running fine if you need a place to keep the Coors til the new one arrives.   :D

Nice wood combo Galen!! What do the limb faces look like?

That looks like a fun night in the bow shop Roy.  This weather is crazy.  It's in the 70's today.  I'm splitting wood in shorts and a tank top.

Glued some canary and coco with a stripe for my trad bow lams

I'v had this .020 veneer sheet for a wile, so I'm going to use a straight edge and razor blade to cut them. It's 35" long and I have some left over for 1 more bow.
Waterfall Bubinga

All cut, some wavy cuts and a few splits.
No big deal will grind out on the edges after glueup

Sneak peek. Star burst bow

Very nice looking lams there, Mr. Daniel!

Riser looks interesting too. What's the wood?

As for me, got my swap bow ready for the short string and worked on my back project - 3 piece takedown. Got the riser pretty much sorted, I think.

Limbs will be hickory backed ipe with either maple or walnut wedges. Riser is red oak but I'll likely do the vinegar/steel wool thing to it.

If it works, great, if not, I'll learn something!

MM,Nice veneer! I have a "two cherries" veneer saw that makes very nice clean cuts on veneers. I used to use utility knives but the saw is all I use now.I paid a little extra to have the two cherries blade sharpened an I got an extra blade sharpened too.
