Just got back from shooting my new tri lam for the first time - putting more than 50% into a 12in square from 30 yards after the first couple of dozen arrows.

The ones that missed were pretty close too. Only a few real outliers.

Smooth and quiet.

I'm a happy fellow!

Got my sons birthday present closer to finished.  Shaped the fades, handle, and shallow shelf.  Did a good whole bow sanding. The top limb is still a bit stiff, Ill just sand it out so I dont take too much off.

Lol that's the 7% amber ale kinda glue lol. No weak American beer up here  ;) .

I cut a stencil out of adhesive vynal and then applied it to the limb and taped everything off.  Then 2 coats of pink.

Picked up some supplies - a whole bunch of spring clamps and materials for a simple bow form. 2x4 for clamping support blocks to make a mild D/R

Sanded some bamboo - ran some ipe through the thickness planer - sanded the aforementioned ipe - did a test run for a power lam for the next bow.

Pretty sure that "weak" American beer is designed to wash down bourbon, lol.

Working on a leaner stronger riser for my next bow. It will be made with 5/16" hickory laminated together with 3 pieces of fiberglass as a beam. The rest will be 5/16" locust laminated with a 3 piece fiberglass beam. These two will be epoxied together with a curved joint with .030 glass and 1/16" phenolic to add additional strength. To keep the profile slim the limbs will be mounted into the riser. It's been labor intensive but I like how it's coming along.

I'll post pictures as I get more done and know it will hold up.
