Hi Tradgangers!
Has anyone ever tried to build a pronounced td longbow (Bingham) without the reverse taper, only taper towards the tips?
would be thankful any input and experiences.
Greetings, Peter

Looks like a good bit of reflex in the limbs.
I guess it needs them.

If I remember correctly, they have 2 parallels, a forward taper and a reverse taper in .002" per inch.
So a parallel limb.

I used to build them with a single .002 taper.
Made a nice limb, a bit smoother and slightly more speed.
Never did figure out the reverse taper

That design I built years ago was a 68 in.and would be more stable being parallel.

The reverse tapers were so you could slide them and vary your weight. I use parallels and a .001 taper on mine. makes a nice bow.

I think you could get very little weight change.
