New Bow.... 58"
« on: November 29, 2017, 03:42:00 PM »
Hi Guys.

Just finished this one (4th successful glass lam bow).
It`s 58" long, came out 40#@28".
First time I`m trying spliced veneers- maple and walnut. Simple splice, nothing fancy. Maple core. Zebrawood handle with maple and black micarta accents. All under clear Bearpaw powerglass (love this stuff). Black and white (homemade) micarta handle and tip overlays.

I`m posting a link to Facebook. I`ve posted a short video on the bow making proccess (nothing new to y`all but I had fun making it).

Tell me what you think...

Shot it today. Feels pretty good. Fast and smooth. I think it has a bit of hand shock but I'm not sure. Never felt it to know exactly what it is. Also, I thought the R/D design eliminates hand shock.

Great job, Bro...  Beautiful riser... And the bend on the limbs look nice also...
Try at different brace heights, nock heights, grip holds and finger holds on string for noise or handshock...
What is the link to your FB page??  If you don't want it on here PM it to me...
