Yeah if it gets too easy and like a job I'll give it up.

Got a few designs down pat but there's always that new idea!

Your builds always have a special grace to them, Roy.

Today I laid the bow up in the newly converted topless form.

It seemed to go well.  Tomorrow will tell the tale.

A couple things I've learned about this method.  The more dowels used the better is the tie down.  This 72" form has 41 hardwood dowels.  Also, it is essential to exhaust all of the air in the hose before tie down and, the hose needs to be kept absolutely centered on the form.

The Paracord was used again for the tie down and while I'm sure the mule tape is excellent for this, the Paracord is completely adequate.  It showed no signs of failure or stress.  Ditto for the hardwood dowels.  There were no groans or cracking sounds.  The cord needs to be wrapped around the dowels tight up against the side of the form.

Once again, the zip ties proved to be an excellent system for retaining the lay up while fastening the hose down.  However, the same thing could easily be accomplished with heavy string wrapped around the dowels.

The hose was aired up in small increments to a final 75# for curing.

Couple pictures.

I like that Mike.  Pretty cool.  How's the fade on the riser area?  Seems that it would be hard to keep the paracord from slipping down in that area.

It stays tight since the cord is wrapped on an angle so that it's pretty much at 90 degrees to the lay up.  I'll take another picture before deflating it.

For pressure strips I use the rubber glue on base board. Bandsaw it to width.

For pressure strips I use the rubber glue on base board. Bandsaw it to width.

1/8" or 3/16" red rubber gasket material works even better.  It comes in a roll, 36" wide.  Most plumbing wholesalers sell it by the square foot.  Buy 3 square feet and cut to size as needed.

For me, the gasket material seems to be tougher and holds up to the temperature better than the vinyl cove base (glue on base board) does.
