I forgot to mention the rash I got after stippling some cocobolo this morning. It's been awhile but every so often the rosewoods are hard on me.

You did the right thing. It would have been a federal offence if that wood ended up as part of a shelf in someone's closet.

The bow pulls 56@ 28. It a static bow I've been building for a couple years now. The bow is 1 7/16 wide with a thick core makes for a stable platform. I think the pics make it look more radical than it is.  The bows are very quite especially with me being a three under shooter.  I'm thinking of building a carbon backed limb soon thinking it should crack 200 fps. Time will tell though got to love this stuff.

Here's the cocobolo the made me itchy. It's the first time in a long time to bother me. I had a piece of bocote years ago that did it. Anyway  finished the stippling today and worked on the other Osage bow.

Oh , and on the coco allergy. I wasn't at first, but it got to the point I don't handle it. Breaks me out and swells my eyes, even with all the dust collection I can give it.....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

It's my fault I didn't wear a mask. I usually wear gloves and long sleeve shirt also. Just got lazy.

Maybe I should build myself a couple  spare bows before that happens. Yeah that's what I'll tell the better half. She will understand    :nono:

I believe that cocobolo and macasser has become my favorite combination. I'd like to reverse the woods on the next one it be killer.
