I unpacked a nice looking delivery from Kennym and repaired my car A/C.  Yes, it's that warm here.

Another kid's bow for my cousin's daughter.  Working on one for her son as well.  Sometimes I think I make more kid's bows than adult bows. :biglaugh:

No, I actually buy that material from Bingham's.  They have it in a few different colors.

One of these days I'm going to figure out how to dye wood under vacuum and make my own, but I just don't have the time, money, or space for any new manufacturing operations right now.

Another source for colorful laminated wood sheets and blocks (very similar to Dymondwood) is Webbwood.  Shipping from the east coast to Colorado is prohibitive, so I don't use them often.

Whoa Zradix....Now that one deserves a fitting name.  What are you gonna call it?

Kinda different for sure....for better or worse...lol
Not certain how fitting the name is, but I'm calling it Windsong.
The night I was gluing it up there was a heck of a wind storm.
Was whistling through the building and making all kinds of weird howls and noises.
Named it right then...lol

Thanks guys.

The green is a mix of malachite green dye and some yellow....mostly yellow actually.
Both aniline powdered dyes wetted with methanol.

Nice work on the kids bow Craig  Pretty in pink.

Zradix that is one wild looking riser. That may be the highest wrist bow I’ve seen. How does it shoot?

No time for building right now, it’s bird season. Lol. I went for round three with the thunder chickens today. Yep.....They won again. 8yds!!!!Yes 8yds, and no shot. When the sound of their feathers strumming is just as loud as the gobble....you know they’re close!! Why is it when I don’t set up with a blind they want to run right in on top of me :banghead: From 8yds to 40yds in the blink of an eye.
Gotta say, I’m having more fun and havin more close encounters than I’ve  ever had. Just no meat to show for it  :dunno:

The meat will come...just enjoy the "wait"

..Yeah it is a high high wrist...but it's the very 1st bow that actually contacts my hand while shooting.
Shrunk my groups considerably.

It's not a fast bow as I went 1.5" wide.
I just wanted to have a margin of error so I had a better chance of hunting with a bow I made this fall.
