I’m confused as well.  But than again I’m not real familiar with the ILF mounting system.

I was wondering why you routed all the way from the end of the riser to the limb bolt. Is there a reason you routed to the threaded insert?

Me too!  But it looks you know what you are doing.  Truth be told, I have never seen an ILF riser.

I see what you mean, Kenny.  You could probably fill it with JB or ???  How about inletting a piece of the same material?

Maybe just leave as is?

Just a mistake. First one! LOL

Yep Mike I will probably size some phenolic and glue back in there, no harm, just hate that I did that.

My excuse- had several guys come to shop yesterday , must have broken my wagon train of thought.....   :D

In order to fit a limb into the dovetail, you need some more space in front of the dovetail so the limb can drop down and then be pushed into the dovetail-- I'm not sure, but it looks like as is, a limb wouldn't fit into the brass insert.

The limb goes in easily, it is made same as my pse riser except with a partially closed end to hide the brass hardware somewhat.

I might be imagining the cross section of your riser wrong. I'm trying to imgaine the riser, do you have any picture of it from the end view? I know this isn't clear, sorry.

Check this one out. I covered the hardware on end except where the locator that snaps into the brass bushing goes. Slides right in there...

I have now fitted phenolic with a drilled hole to bring the surface back up to flush where the bolt goes.... IF I build another one, won't do that again!!

Here I'm getting closer to shape I want, which is a copy of my hunting bow. The limbs are mine off a pse ghost.  On this bow they take a 57" string so must be a 60" bow with these limbs?

Looking good Kenny. Looks like you still have some diet plans in mind for her. I like the steeper belly radius on your hunting bow. Does this interfere with the ILF hardware?

How long is the riser from end of dovetail to end of dovetail? If it's 17", and the limbs are mediums, that would be 60". Or long limbs on a 15" riser measured from the ends of the dovetails.
