I finally got (re)started on my victim's bow. Since the great lam flipping debacle, I decided to go a little different direction in materials.
I have a special piece of wood I'm using. It's special in the sense that it was given to me by my father, a gunsmith, who purchased it sometime in the early 1970's. He had intended to use it to make pistol grips. Apparently, lace wood doesn't really show off it's striking grain characteristics as well as he would have liked on smaller pieces.
Anyway, I'm combining this lacewood with tigerwood and maple. I'll try to get some pics up tonight.
