Quick form question, would 1/2" beech dowels be sufficient for a rubber band type form?  If not, I have 3/4" ash dowels available to me as well.

I use 3/8 or 7/16 oak dowels with no problems.

These are all looking awesome! Great job everyone! I am going to need to add some accents to my green glass to fancify it a bit. All of your veneers are making me wish I went clear glass.

Yeah....  I used to use surgical tubing when I used rubber band type forms.  I was laying up a bow and pulling the tubing tight, broke one of the 3/8" maple dowels I was using on the form and managed to punch myself in the face.

I got a nice shiner out of the deal.  No one believed me as to how it happened, so I just started telling everyone that my wife beats me....    :smileystooges:

I’m the same as skeater, lefty but shoot a right handed bow since that’s my dominant eye.  But I can shoot a lefty, so if tradbowyer has to forfeit his bow since he tried too hard to figure out who was making him a bow, I’ll be happy to take it    :bigsmyl:

Grip and tip overlays glued up.  I use Smooth On for this, so I'll get back after it tomorrow.
