Backset? Not sure what back set is. It had some natural deflex in it. I flipped the tips some.

John, backset is reflex.

Gotcha Pat, then no it had no natural backset. I did that with a hot rock (heat gun)

Well Guys I think I may be hooked. I really like this Eastern Woodland style bow. 250 arrows and it pulled #58.8 on the scale. Target was #55 so that makes two in a row that came in plus or minus 3 pounds so that's a success by itself there. It does flex in the handle ever so slightly at full draw which freaks me out as this is my first bendy. No real hand shock maybe a slight thump I guess you could call it otherwise nice and stable good balance on the draw and release. Needs more tuning as far as brace height and arrows but seems to be a good shooter, definitely fun. She's only half dressed so no finish pics yet.
Now I've got to go find me a stave before I get this one finished so I don't go into withdrawals.

Well Guys thanks for the help. I do believe I have found my favorite style bow. Cant remember the last thing I made that gave as much satisfaction and enjoyment. She is 63 inches n2n, 1 1/4 wide through the handle to mid limb then tapers to 3/4 tips. #58.3 @28 bend in handle, and after 300 plus arrows she is a very good shooter. I didn't want to copy a another design or color scheme so I made one up, it could pass for several different cultures I believe. I always thought coral snakes were beautiful so there ya go. I didn't break out the masking tape and hvlp, just done it by hand so there are brush strokes and such in there. More realistic for a hunter who imbued his own bow with some magic. Raw hide handle I dyed and it came out pink it has since calmed down some but I'm man enough to deal with it.

Very nice bend...and it does take a real man to shoot a pink handled bow.    :)
