Black Widow Longbowmen
« on: March 09, 2008, 11:59:00 PM »
Guys, I've got a widow PL X "OSAGE" coming... My question is this:

Should I get 66' or go with 64' ???

I pull 29.5 on the Longbow...

Does the longer bow make it smoother/more accurate or would the 2 ' difference not be worth the trade off?
Blessings,
Steve

I could not say about the 64.I do have a 66 incher and I love how it shoots for me.I would say it would be smoother for you at your draw and just shoot sweeter overall and should be a tad more accurate.I draw this one 30 inches or a bit more.I am happy with the 66 inch version.

I've shot both, and draw 29" when I'm behaving myself. Both are fine. A mate of mine shoots both equally well, and he draws 30". Go with whichever you like.

I have a 66" PLX osage and a 64" PLV--both around the same weight.I like the performance of the ironwood better, but the 66"'er is a much smoother drawing bow

BTW,I do shoot the 64" bow more often, though
67" Hill Tembo, 50@27
67" Hill Half Breed, 53@27
66" Hill Redman, 48@27
66" Hill Cheetah, 55@27

I have a 62" PLX and a 66"PLX.  I draw 28.5" and have no problem with either.

Steve,
If your'e planning on treestand hunting with the bow. go with the 64". I have a 66" now, but wish I still had my 64" for that reason. that two inches can certainly make a difference with some shots offered. As for 3D, stump shooting, etc, the 66" will certainly be a bit smoother and forgiving. Hope my post helps you a bit.

I agree with Froggy.  It is amazing how much difference 2" makes in a tree stand.

I know 2' inches makes a differnece in ground blinds, but didnt' think it'd be a big deal in a tree...
Blessings,
Steve
