First Traditional Turkey
« on: April 02, 2009, 04:23:00 PM »
Season started here in Mexico on march 21,

I hoped I got my first trukey with trad gear these year and the ultimate challenge was on

After several missed shots I remembered to clear my mind and focus on a spot, my shot was at 20 yds, the tom was heading out and I had to kneel and focus for a milisecond before letting the beautiful arrow fly and sticking it right on the spot

I feel so lucky and I am thrilled writing each word right now

My wife is pregnant and our first son is due these next couple of days , she told me in the morning ,

"you better get him today because for the next days you need to help me with the baby"

So I will be changing diapers with a smile on my face remembering these morning

thank you guys for all the tips , support and forums , its great to get here each days and talk trad archery

Nice!!! Ya'll should have seen Gerardo last week practicing with those Snuffers, he would look at me and say,"See that dark spot on the target, that is the turkey's eye."  Draw, release and the arrow would be within a 1/2" of the spot.  He workded hard for it and I am glad that he had the oppurtunity to Drill that bird, and not a day too soon.

Felicidades Gerardo, espero verte en el tiro de el Bugscuffle.
