First traditional harvest - Turkey
« on: April 20, 2009, 02:30:00 PM »
Hi all, went out this weekend to hunt Turkey with couple of trad shooting friends. We went to a ranch that is about a 6 hour drive from where I live, but the trip was totally worth it. I managed to get my first traditional harvest, a good old gobbler!

Shot with a 58" 45#@27" Thunderhorn Heartstopper, Easton Legacy 2018 arrow with a two blade Magnus from a ground blind.

I am so grateful that I had a chance to go on this hunt and have a good result.

Congrats on your bird. A turkey is a true trophy with a bow.

That is a coati (also called "coatimundi"), I believe.  Related to the raccoon.

That is correct Tracks, they are pretty common from the eastern coast of Mexico all the way to the south.

Have you noticed that the times you don't get nothing while hunting, are usually the most fun you've ever had.
