Slipped into my Hawthorn bush ladder stand this morning about 11:00, had to meet a guy at 1:00 so planned to get down at 12:40. Nary a critter till 12:39 when a half dozen does and fawns came trotting over the hill. They came almost to my shooting lane twice then would spook away, wind was pretty swirly. The third time one got brave and came in to water then shortly they were all muzzle deep. As the fattest one turned away I zipped a tusker tipped AD thru her shoulder, your looking at the exit wound in the pic. Really screwed up as I thought I was watching pretty close and hadn't seen a buck but seconds after the shot a dandy buck blew out from my left
 Got one more goat tag so maybe next time...
Still shooting my Keith Deters, "Mean Green" BBO pulling 57@27, AD trad shafts and 160 Tusker Aztec.
