First traditional deer...
« on: October 24, 2009, 02:05:00 PM »
Well after three rabbits(lucky shots) and two misses last year(same buck, same stand) I finally connected on my first traditional deer on NY's opener of the southern zone archery season.

Maybe 3 yards away from my tree, and behind it. Made for an interesting shot angle, one which I doubt I will ever take again.

Difficult tracking job, and a follow up "Texas Heart Shot" brought me my hard earned deer.

The full story is on POW WOW.

Congratulations brother a memorable moment for the journal and if you don’t have a journal this would be a great starting place.
