Did something change with Photobucket?  I tried to copy & paste some pictures to the Silvertip thread today and the image code line under the photo didn't come up like before and I couldn't copy & paste.

Last couple of times I tried it, I had to move the cursor to the pic I wanted, and then the image code came up as usual.

It changed a bit a while back.
You may have the last picture downloaded appearing by itself and above the album and says something like default clik on that picture and it will take you to your regular album and should work just like before.

At the time is the option of "sharing" as image. If you click on it the option to choose "IMG" appears...then copy and paste.

I had problems a few days ago. Since I heard there was a bug on Photobucket I haven't been back. I hope they clear it up. I have lots of bow and arrow pics on there. Thank goodness I have everything backed up on disc.

I use Image Linky for posting on forums, you can post right from your computer.

 http://www.imagelinky.com/

You can't store pictures there but it's great for a quick forum post.

nonsense, there's nothing to be leary about photobucket.

ANY online system that archives or passes any form of data can either pass already bad data, or inject nasties into your good data for you to proliferate around the net.

It's not being leary right now that's a problem. Last night I tried again to post some pics. I uploaded the pics to PB, started the new topic post, went back to pb to get a pic and as soon as I clicked on the IMG code, I had the window change and it said that PB has been recognized as a potentialy hazardous site and the PB tab closed.

(I'm waiting for my Linux disc to show up in the mail before I go back there.)

do a google search for malware images .... it's not just photobucket, it's ANY server media archive service.

image linky is no different than photobucket in the archive service it provides.

so, it's not the archiver, it's the compromised media that's in question.

if YOUR images are malware free, and you store them with an archiver, should i worry about clicking on your images?  see my point?

i have thousands of images stored on pb with no problems or issue with malware.

I guess I'm just always the last to try new things-Heck I've lurked around here for years before actuallly signing up and becoming a member. But you all have shared so much and helped me for so long,I wanted to reciprocate. So I will just have to step out a bit past my comfort zone to make my new friends.Malware wasnt as much a problem as laziness-Tux protects me
