I have AT&T.   I use my iPhone as a hotspot to run my computer also.  My computer is doing the same thing.  But when I went to my neighbors and ran directly off there internet it worked fine.     Talked to att on the phone for 30 mins.  They have no clue either

I'm not an IT guy, but from looking at your location "from" on your posts, it must be a Mid-West thing, or maybe the stars are beginning to align themselves, wait the calendar was off remember, 12/12/12!

well then that solves it, its and iPhone issue.  I have ATT Uverse as my internet at the house, and I have an Apple MAC computer with no issues, but its my IPhone only.  Hopefully they fix it soon. I am addicted to TradGang like I am Grizzly dip, I start jonesing when I can not get on

Mine kept saying I wasn't logged in but my name was up there. I'd log in but still couldn't get to my profile or post. I rebooted and its working ok for now.

Mine is doing the same exact thing, maybe it is a Midwest thing.  When I'm running off wifi it works fine though.  If you get on tradgang through a section like classifieds instead of home page, it will work fine.

I use an Android phone(HTC Desire) and never experienced any problems with it on any websites.

the issue with smartphones and the internet is, for the most part, the browser.  a few months back i had an android bionic - no problem accessing trad gang in any way.

I'm having the same problems.  Tried the set cookies, clear history and shut phone down and it still didn't work.  I'm using wifi now so I'll see if it works.  By the way, I'm using an iphone on ATT too.

another reason to avoid apple, i guess.       heck, i don't even like microsoft.  linux is my preferred os.  

clearly to me, this is an apple i-whatever issue as i've had emails with the exact same symptoms for i-phone and i-pad.  

almost all forums and websites work via "session cookies".  when you login to trad gang, tg sends your computer a session cookie.  this cookie remains until you shut down your browser.  once you have the cookie, tg checks it every time you attempt to do something allowed only to the membership.  that validation tells tg it's okay for you to use all the functional privileges of a member, like creating new threads and posting on existing threads.

for whatever reason, some i-whatevers either aren't getting or retaining the tg cookie.  sure sounds like that's the problem.

Unfortunately, it's not only an iPhone issue.

Up until last week, my Android Samsung Galaxy S2 was working fine. Then it started to give my the "your_name is missing" error message when trying to submit a reply to the post.

Now, when I try do do certain other things, like get to my profile, or someone else's from a topic, I get a message that says that I need to login before doing that, even though I'm logged in. I humour the program by logging in, but it just bounces me back out the same message.

I've have a few other issues, like remaining on the same page, when I try to back up, etc. Most web browsing works, and links in the forums work.

For me, the problems appear to have started after the last Tradgang upgrade.
