Instead of photbucket I use imageshack.us If you want their is for windows machines free photo editing software that does a good job of resizing pics called VCW VicMan's photo editor to use does a great job of resizing photos on your machine.

I like the old PhotoBucket. I switched to the new, hated it and switched back. They are telling me in 26 days there will be no choice - they will automatically move me to the new. I could not find any way to set an auto-resize on upload the way I have it with the old. Then I read the FAQ and found out that's not an option in the new version. And then they have the gall to tell me they listened to my input. Yeah, listened, but ignored.

Man, just when I find something I really like, they change it and then force you to change with them. I too re size before uploading, but want to maintain the original quality on my computer, so that means duplicating everything I upload.

Photo Bucket, your new and improved version sucks buttermilk through a straw.

Troy, if you opened a new account under a different name or handle or login, it is not going to move them.  You can just go to your old version and upgrade to the new version and it will.  But not under a new account.

IF you are having issues with photobucket, try using imgur - there's a tutorial about this as a sticky post right here in this forum.

Rob,  thank you for the heads up.  It seems photobucket is getting a bit tricky for many of us.

at this point, i do not recommend using photobucket - just too many problems and within a short while it will only be available in the "new and improved" format that we all know doesn't work well for too many reasons.

here's yet another thing in life that someone whizzard thought needed improving ... NOT!

so far,  www.imgur.com  is one of the better online image archives to use ... free, faster than photobucket, and will allow auto image resizing.  see my sticky post tutorial in this forum, on how to set up imgur.
