First pig hunt with Curtis
« on: March 11, 2008, 08:40:00 PM »
Guys,
I am going on a hunt with Curtis Kellar  next weekend. All traditional!  :)   That's what I'm excited about. I'm hoping to bring home some fresh pork and lots of pictures. My grown son (Greg)and I are going to share camp with Bob Starkey (starkman on tradgang) and
Jerry Fisk (knifemaker) Should be lots of fun.

We're all acting like a bunch o kids!

Thanks guys. I wish you all could be there. I'll bring lots of pics.

Except for my son, we're all past the "run and gun" stage of our lives. So we'll mostly be there for the camp and comradrie experience, but I am excited at the prospect of a first trad harvest.

If you have not met Curtis yet you are in for a treat. Start by reading some of the things he has writen, this help you form a picture of him. And then when you see his you will say to yourself there is no way this redneck could have writen those great stories. We had a great time hunting with him and Mark Horne this year, Great people.I have already Put him down for my first hunt of the year in 2009

As always, you guys should have been comedians.

Joe, everyone knows I can't spell my own name much less write any story. AND, who's this redneck you are talking about?  :saywhat:

Curtis,

Did you catch any fish though?  The ice is about to go out of the river up here.  For a few days the catfish will be hitting hard.  They are so cold that you can't hang on to them, but boy are they good eating.

PS.  It was just a little humor, nothing more!
