New bow for someone special.
« on: March 11, 2008, 09:33:00 PM »
Once in a while I have to take a break from glass laminated bows and whip up a wooden bow. This one turned out pretty good.

Backing is a very thin piece of osage lamination (packing strip), the belly was a a couple of pieces of yew I had on the rack. The handle is Honduran Rosewood.

Pig skin handle wrap and shelf padding.

I saw this bow before it was finished. Looked like a real shooter to me. Lots of early draw load and fine lines. Told him 10# heavier and I'd like it fine. Already spoken for, maybe the next one...

Kenny... the bow started with a little reflex, but lost that and has a minimum amount of follow.
