First Widow Turkey

Picked up an awsome little PSA from a fellow tradganger a few months ago. It finally drew blood on this nice jake. My days in the field this spring are limited so I took the first legal bird I could. Had a double bearded Tom messing with us but would not come closer than about 35yds. I shot this guy with a Magnus Bullhead from my blind at about 20 yards. I took a huge Tom two years ago with the same head and a little heavier bow. Took his head off so I was expecting the same thing on this one. Apparently I didn't hit him square as it basically cut a huge gash in his neck. He left a blood trail like a double lung deer. He went about 100 yards and was not hard to find. I'm a big fan of those heads for turkeys. Either you miss or their dead. Cooked this guy up tonight so I didn't have to freeze him. Great eating bird. Thanks to the lord and my hunting buddies for this opportunity.
