I shot this deer at 7 yards while still hunting with my buddy Brad in Appomattox, VA.

Bighorn T/D recurve(65@28"), with a home-made cedar arrow with a Magnus I up front.

You know, I can't believe I forgot to post this before but I have to give thanks to my Dad (Always89) and Mom. I wouldn't have my love of the outdoors if it weren't for my Dad and I couldn't imagine life without it. He actually gave up his hunting early to help me blood trail the deer and be with me when I found it. And my Mom supports our habbit and puts up with us skipping chores to hunt. I couldn't appreciate them more.

Cool! You two look like warriors.

Congratulations, a 7 yard kill of a whitetail from the ground is no small feat. :notworthy:  Your season is off to a great start.   :clapper:

I think it is the mismatch that is so appealing. Nice deer. Thanks for posting.

Cool beans!  Wish I were there!

Got to hunt around Leesburg this year and the deer were thick as fleas on a dog's hind leg.
