One down

Hi all,

Just wanted to post on my morning's good fortune!  Shot this 9 point at 20 yards, little forward, but still double lunged.  Went about 150 yards after the hit, and started to rain right after I shot him.. made for some nervous tracking, but after about 2.5 hours I found him just on the other side of an old stone fence.  I'm so proud of him, any deer I kill with my recurve I'm proud of.. but as a footnote, not 5 minutes after shooting him, the GIANT I've been after came out right in front of me chasing a doe and of course gave me a 15 - 20 yard shot! LOL!!  We're only allowed one buck in NY with the bow.. what can you do?!  I knew my time was running short for this season with family and work commitments though, so no regrets!  This fine buck does just fine!

Killed him with my Tradtech Titan, 45@28", 125gr Magnus Stingers, lots of practice, and help from the good Lord!

Nice buck. Congratulations - keep reminding yourself that if you'd passed on him the Big Guy would never have shown himself.  Somehow they just seem to know that your tag is full.
