Cold last day push
« on: January 10, 2011, 10:41:00 PM »
Made the most of the very cold closing weekend of the southern Wisconsin gun\\bow season. My good ol brother volunteered to do the pushing by us younger bros.Hiding amongst 3 hickory trees, the setup and wind seemed perfect. Finally three bald deer came sneakin by as I slipped a 125 Grizzly through a young deer at 15 yds.Happy to show my brother his hard work paid off. Nice to bring back out my HH style Big River longbow by John McDonald(the man)Beman MFX 500,100 gr. broadhead insert and 100 gr.arrow insert. Great way to end the season...hunting with your brothers.

Nice looking doe!  Congratulations on your end of the season hunt.  It's always special when you can hunt with family.  Nice looking bow also.

Anticipation on these pushes is really high as you wait for deer to come by.  Setting up on the ground is challenging and gives you some great on the level experiences.  We always bring a pruning shears.
