Two Tracks thunder chicken
« on: October 17, 2011, 11:30:00 AM »
This morning I took the climber out to try a new spot a little closer to a bedding area for a buck I'm after. A little after daylight the turkeys started comin' down and this one flew right under my stand. A little kee kee calling and he walked right back to about 18yds. The first game species with my new Two Tracks Longwalker, thanks Chuck!

Shooting AD trad lites with Centaur big game heads. They put a hurtin' on him, for sure. The bow is a 60" longwalker, 54#.

Nice work!  Those are some fine bows Chuck makes. Good Shot!

Thanks guys. And no, it wasn't a bearded hen. It was a longbeard with a 9.5" beard and 1" spurs. I had three of them strutting yesterday morning and earlier this year, one of the jakes was shock gobbling at a crow that was pestering them. Funny to hear them try to gobble when they are young!

Nice Bird!   Surprised one of Chucks bows has the punch to bring a turkey down...they are kinda slow and wimpy...but they sure look nice!

I wish I had video of the hunt but I didn't have a cameraman this morning. I don't know if there would've been footage because the turkey flew down and within seconds, was in full view so I'm not sure anyone could've got a camera on and pointed in that direction without spooking the bird anyway. Sometimes it's just nice to hunt without the added hassle of the camera! Then again, I always kick myself for not having it when something good happens.

Gvan Said he is liking the longbow hunting. And after seeing some of the pictures he sends me from his trail-cam, I think it is only a matter of time for us to see his next round of pics. Good luck Gabe.
