NJ buck
« on: November 29, 2011, 01:43:00 PM »
killed this nice buck this morning with my predator recurve.  he and two other mature bucks were chasing a hot doe.  i shot him at about 13 yards and ran down the hill a short distance and started to fall.  one of the other bucks ran after my deer and started to "fight" my buck even after it died.  the other buck stood over my dead buck for a moment then ran back up the hill and chased the doe out of sight.  it was a pretty cool morning.

Nice buck!

Congrats. So the bucks are still chasing in your neck of the woods. Way to hold it together to close the deal.

Nice pic and buck. I've heard of turkeys going after other dead turkeys but that's the first time I've heard of a buck doing it. Nice harvest.
