First deer with recurve
« on: December 12, 2011, 03:38:00 PM »
Oct. 1st, 2011-

35th deer with a bow overall, but one of the funnest.  Northern MI doe with a old Bear Stag Hunter that my grandfather gave to me a few years back.

8 yard shot, 50 yard recovery after a Bear Razorhead passed almost completely through her.

Daughter was mad I wouldn't let her go into the woods with me (was way after dark), but I let her get in on the pictures of course.   :D

Really cool feeling isn't it?  What our forefathers of bowhunting experienced being carried on today.  Congrats, and welcome to the club.

Thanks guys!

Like I said, was definitely a great experience to take one this way.  Going to definitely be out with it more in the years to come.
