Wood tri lam creation (Pics)
« on: March 13, 2008, 07:32:00 PM »
62" 44# @ 28" Hickory backed black walnut with osage belly lams, sassafrass riser and limb tip overlays and an ash riser. The core runs thru the ash riser. This was my own form design copied off and old truck leaf spring laying around my Son's coal forge.

It shoots suprisingly fast @ 44#. It is smooth as silk to draw, quite on release and is easy to aim. I think I have a keeper. I've named it "Fiddleback" after Horseapples stain pattern I stole.

With those limbs, no wonder it is fast. Beautiful bow! Love the limb veneers....stunning bow.

Osage,
Very nice!  Getting better with those trilams!  Looks like you go the shelf on the correct side and everything!

Dang Joe! You have created a stunning work of art. That is just plain old SWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT!

I'll even switch over to the other side to shoot that beauty!

Any chance you coming to St. Clairsville for the Expo?

Even my kids were going nuts over that when they saw the fiddle back!
