I used a TallTines Recurve 69#@28, GT 7595 arrows, and Muzzy Phantom SS. They are a truly fascinating animal, not bad eating either, and are very stalkable due to somewhat poor eyesight. I say that with a grain of salt as I had one peg me earlier in the week just before a shot.

They are the only animal I know that stink so bad you can smell them the whole time you stalk them- at least you can tell when the wind is right,LOL.

Javelinas are one of the funnest spot-n-stalk animals there is! Looks like you made a perfect shot too!

Congrats on the javie,I have taken many of them and I still get excited when its javie time.I never hunted that far west Tx only in south Tx.Great pic and some rough terrain.
