Morrison Cheyenne bows

I havent been a recurve shooter for quite awhile but the more I check out Bob's site and see the Cheyenne the more I like them.  I own a Dakota and love it and know that Bob is first rate but was wondering if anyone here owns one that can give me some feedback on pros/cons of the bow and also post some pics if available?  I also have a short draw of 25-26 inches and was wondering how you think the Cheyenne would be for a short draw?

First thing I would tell anyone about any bow: shoot one before you buy it...what's one man's treasure is another's bane.

That said, do a search and you'll probably see my name listed on bout every pro-Morrison post: it's no secret I think Bob's Cheyenne is THE finest bow built. I've got two, only my wife rolling her eyes at me keeps me from having 10. It's not necessarily true of everyone who has shot the Cheyenne, but for me, I can't shoot any other bow as good as this one...not even Bob's great Shawnee design. As time goes on, I'm more and more convinced the deflexed riser and grip angle make it a superior shooting bow. With his newest limb design, he's in the top 2-3 for pure speed. Drop dead gorgeous looks, the finest wood available, fit and finish as good as anyones, better than most. To me, that makes the total package, unmatched by anything else I've shot.

I draw 27" and can shoot 54" all tthe way up to his 62" version with no problems whatsoever, my preferred lengths being the 54 & 56" models.

Give him a call, shoot one...you won't be sorry.

I would second JC opinion wholeheartedly. I have a Cheyenne with the 54" limbs and love it. So quiet and fast. Again, workmanship is immaculate and Bob is a great man to work with. I draw 26" and shooting 56lbs @ 26 I am getting around 172-175fps with a 520-540 grain arrow. I recently shot with JC and listening to his heavier limbs shooting about 670grains was awesome ! Would hate to be on the receiving end of that one ! Cannot remember who had this quote on here but it is true........ " When the Morrison talks, nuthin walks !!!"

Here's one i just got from Bob.  It points great shoot wonderful.  My only problem is i just got a shawnee riser with a custom grip i can't decide on with one to take out and shoot!

You can not go wrong with one of Bob's bows.  Like the others the deflex riser of the Cheyenne makes it forgiving and easy to point.  As far as speed it ranks in the top three bows being made.  I shot a 54" bow and have a 26-1/2" draw, no stacking and it smokes an arrow.  The new limbs are also much quieter and smoother then the old design (which were great limbs also).

thanks guys, got to say Bob has a pic of one in his Cheyenne gallery (osage) that is really easy on the eye.  Bob only lives about 1 1/2 hour away so I'll drive over and test drive one when he finishes with his shows.
