WOW!! I drew a bear tag!
« on: March 13, 2008, 10:28:00 PM »
Well I'm 2 for 2 on my permits here in UT. If we had a lotto, I would buy a ticket. I'm super excited as this will be the first time I will get to hunt them. I can't wait for the snow to melt (as it's snowing now in the mtns) so I can get up to start scouting. I will be taking a lot of pics and will be sure to post them.
WOOHOO!!!   :archer:

Goodluck with your bear hunt, and with the snow melting for that matter.
My friends out there tell me its still coming down.
Whats the other tag that you drew ?

Puma,
I drew a turkey tag. This state is a litle ridiculous, drew a bear with 3 points and a turkey with four!  :banghead:

Congratulations Ryan..............Now that you will be in a holding pattern (life long waiting period) for the rest of your hunting life, maybe you will figure out the grass is greener on the other side of the fence??????????????????????????

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

Congrats!

I have seven points now for Utah. One of these days I hope.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I am PUMPED!! To say the least. Steve, not the unit you I have been discussing, it's closer to home. Todd, are you putting in for the Books? That would make sense since you haven't drawn with seven and it's real close to where you live. Thanks again, pics to follow in a month.

Nope. I'm putting in for the La Sals. I'm origanally from Moab. I live in Rangely, but the La Sals are home.

Good luck. I would love to know where you will be hunting. Please P.M. me. I would love to chat with you. I have a secret bait that has worked really well for me if you care to know.

Later,

Todd

Once you get things going, show us a few pics of where you are setting up and what you will be using to kill that big bear...

Congrats Ryan, make sure you take lots of pics and keep us up to date as the hunt progresses!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.
