Kodiak Island Blacktails
« on: November 26, 2012, 03:53:00 PM »
Just returned from Kodiak Island what a great trip. Used the Toelke Lynx prototype that I purchased in the classifieds from Biathlonman, Goldtip 5575 with 125gr VPA Terminators from Big Jim. Thanks guys for making this possible.

Awesome pictures and great job. I would be nervous the whole time I was hunting on that island!

Congrats on the two bucks. I second that about being nervous hunting that island.

I have hunted Kodiak several times and have never had a bear encounter where I felt threatened. This trip I never even saw a bear track.

Beautiful Bucks and country!  I went to Kodiak in 2000 and did get two bucks and a doe... neither of my bucks were as big as your smaller one and we didn't see a buck as big as your bigger one... was a rough trip.

Congrats on your success and thank you for sharing it with us!  Brings back fond memories...
