Anybody building 59 or 60 Bear copies?
« on: March 14, 2008, 10:05:00 AM »
Is there any bowyers currently building these repros? I know they were a couple doing them didn't know if there were still any. I would also like to see some pictures of your originals or copies. Thanks Flint

Saxon Archery's Kadiak is a fifty-nine replica. I own one and light it. John McCullogh made a nice looking one that may still be in production called a Fifty-Niner. E.B. Holcomb has made some great ones but I don't know if he's still producing those models. Rich Lopez would be a good person to ask about what's currently being built.                                   Grant

Here are a couple originals that have been refurbished.

The 64" was restored by the Bowdoc and the 60" by Droptine59.

Both men are true professionals.

Is anyone making a copy of the 64" Kodiak?  Most I've seen are 60"... the Saxon Kadiak is listed as 62".

Someone should be making a copy of the '59 Gizzly too... and the '59 Polar.  They'd have my money!  :D
