Porker Double-up!

Well, I have been in a bit of a dry spell lately. I capped that off by flubbing a chip shot at a bear on the Bear Quest hunt a couple weeks ago. I was starting to doubt myself!!!!

I got away for a couple days at my hunting lease in south TX to go after the pigs. Yesterday was a god one. I hunted the morning in a ground blind and had a few pigs come in early. We do not see many pigs that are not black so when this little spotted guy came in, I wanted to get a shot at him. I had a 200# boar in front of one window and this one and a smaller one in front of the other. I could not see any teeth on the boar so I opted for the better BBQ!

Here is a pic of my little 44# spotted boar:

Then yesterday afternoon I went to a pit blind. Right before dark a whole pack of pigs came through and I was able to get a good shot off on this nice 106# boar.

Well, I have always believed that when it is your turn, it will work out.......so........I guess it just was not my turn to get a bear!

Nice shooting, I hope to make it to Texas one day. I see those pigs and think of the end result....BBQ, cole slaw and potato salad!

Way to go Bisch!  It looks like you picked the right spot on that first one.  It's great to see some more critters on that tree!
