Evil Gawgians and Optical Illusions.
« on: March 15, 2008, 11:49:00 AM »
Okay...Okay...so I couldn't wait to prove you young snots wrong 8^).  That Green boy sent me this arrow...overnight no less...so I could try it out of my bow.  Try to convince the old man that a carbon arrow will fly out of his bow...tsk...tsk.    :saywhat:

At this point I know I must be doing something wrong.  I looked at the arrow again...it said Arrow Dynamics...ca...ca...carbon.  So...I back up to forty yards...now we'll see this thing turn sideways for sure.

At forty yards, that filthy arrow flew flawlessly to the target just a bit low of center.  Now I started wondering how Terry Green made this aluminum look like a carbon.  Perhaps it's witchcraft of some sort.  So....

I walk back to my driveway...fifty-two yards.  Pull back the arrow to anchor and watch it fly flawlessly to the target.    :bigsmyl:

thanks, George... that was a smiler.  If you've been keeping up with me, you know I've been messing with new stuff, too.   Yep, the dreaded C arrows and even, dare I say it, one of those new fangled bows with bent ends.   Seems I suddenly realized That us vintage archers shouldn't let the kids have all the fun.

George, arn't you glad you talked Terry into sending you a carbon arrow lol. That will teach him not to question your knowledge.

You know what this means don't you, buy more arrows lol. Good for you.

George, are you sure that one arrow isn't a fluke.  You better ask Terry for the other eleven to see if he just picked the one good one.     Don't fall for the old bait-and-switch.

Bad news George; I shouldn't have done it; but the night before you shot that arrow; I snuck over to your place- and moved your target a foot to the right.

George, don't believe that "moved the target" story of Brian's. That's just a smoke screen to cover his real heinous act.

Hold that arrow real, real close to your ear, and listen carefully. Can you hear the hum of the tiny microprocessors of the smart guidance system that locks onto the laser emitting diode Brian snuck into your target?
