Big Bird Down

Free-range low fence Texas Emu.  Didn't see a turkey today but I did connect with this guy.  Bisch says emu is nasty....my other buddy says when fried it tastes like chicken.  We'll see.  

62" Toelke Whip 50@28
Full length GT 3555, standard insert, Magnus feathers, and 175 grain Woodmans
10 yard shot, no pass through, dropped where it was shot.
Ground hunting, ghillie jacket.
Howard Hill Halfbreed "Sol" 68" 50@29
Hoyt Buffalo 62" 45@28"

Cool trophy.  A buddy of mine once had them.  I had no problem with the taste.  Red meat......looked like a ribeye steak.
