Killed Me A Delicacy
« on: April 08, 2014, 04:24:00 PM »
I gotta say this is bar none the tastiest critter Ive ever killed. About 80lbs worth of South Carolina sow that I killed on 03/29/14, the day before my 43rd birthday. 20 yard shot, 50 yard recovery with a Zwickey Delta on an MFX from my 47# Griffin "Shakira". Shot her through the liver with a complete pass through. I thought I hit back edge of lungs but the autopsy showed that I missed lungs by a hair but the liver killed her fast. This year is starting out alright for me but Im having deep withdrawals after this hunt. Guess Ill start harassing woodchucks next and if all goes as planned Ill get one more hog hunt in before small game opens in NY.

Congrats, Izzy!  From blueberries to buffalo, wild is always better than domestic, and young hog is right up there with the best.
