Goat tag punched
« on: September 15, 2014, 09:52:00 AM »
Not the biggest but was ready to thump something. Made a good stalk/ambush, he spun and took the first one head one getting one lung. Follow up stalk and shot got both of em. Dang good eating. Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys, figured out long ago that any goat with a longbow is a good goat. I'm tickled to get him. Success rates can vary  ;)  but stalking these guys is about my favorite thing to do. Think this is like #6 or 7 taken on the ground and I've got a doe tag left....

I was shooting my Toelke Whip, AD shafts and old 160 Griz heads.

Seems I never smile in these selfie pics  ;)  always wondering if that camera is going to work.    :banghead:

Thanks again

Good job and nice goat. Seen people on TV have a hard getting one out of a blind at a watering hole, didn't know you could even get close enough stalking to get a shot. Pip

Congrats!  Antelope is fabulous eating!  I would really like to get one with trad gear some day but I never see them here in Ohio LOL!

Great hunt.  Thanks for posting

good one Doug!
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
