Stumpin and Muzzy blocks with friends!!
« on: March 16, 2008, 11:38:00 AM »
Yesterday I had the pleasure to do some shooting with Jwilliams, Mcgroundstalker and Ishiwannabe. We went to Mikes camp in Catskills. He had a beautiful place and a great course set-up. we started out at one of his 3-Ds and worked our way thru the woods. He has ten 3-D targets set out thru a nice course. We than shot a few stumps and than we moved on to his Muzzy course. He has a twenty station course down thru a mountainside and into a small valley with a streeam running thru it. It was an awesome time, we than finished up with some great food and great conversation. I was sorry I had to leave after 9 hours with this group! I cannot wait to do it again!! Thanks Mikey! We had a great time!!  Shawn

I have been fortunate enough to experience shooting and hanging out at Mike's place, it's always been fun for Joe and I.

Mikey is a good host and enjoys shooting. I would have been there but my mother in law celebrated her 80th birthday Sat...if I missed that event ya'll know where I would be now

Mikey was showing me where the course would be setup when we hunted with him last year. Nice piece of woods for 3D but really good for stump shooting!

Jamie, how's your neck?
That sounds like so much fun. Nothing like a small group doing 3D and stumps, especially when they know each other well enough to razz appropriately.  :p  And this is a bunch f great guys!

I actually started feeling better as the day went on Killy. PT and accupuncture did help quite a bit. Being able to shoot again helped even more.   :D
I still cant hit anything.

All of you are very welcome! Sometimes a (small) gathering is just right to enjoy each others company. No rush or distractions like on a club 3D course. We shoot at what and when we choose. Too Cool! Ten 3d targets can be like a hundred.

Then, back at the house I get to cook.    That's the "Team Pink" side of me. Next time will be soon......

Mike, I told my wife and she would love to come next time. Just let me know, I will drag Curt down if I have too. Izzy should be able to make it as well, we can get Chris(Bowspirit)one day too!! If we can make it before april 11th. that woul dbe great as I would be able to shoot, but if not I will come anywy just to enjoy the company and walk the mountains with my wife and Dad!! Great time with great folks, and best of all I go t to know Mikey a bit. We were talikng while Jamie and Jeff were out doing a bit of knapping and we both agreed that my hunt is so hectic it is hard to get to really talk and get to know someone. I really enjoyed my time with Mike and now know where he is coming from, he is a good one and I am gonna get hiim up to my hunting area this year and get him off the ground for a shot at a nice whitetail!! Thanks again bud!! Shawn

Double-check those steps!
The little bit of time I got to spend with Mike was enough to let me know that he is a real gem among us.  :)
