Texas Hog
« on: March 17, 2015, 03:29:00 PM »
A group of us went from Illinois to Texas last week for some pig hunting.  I was sick for the first half, but lady luck smiled on me Thursday night with this nice hog.  Yeah, I'm happy.

Shot him in the dark under a green light a little after 8PM.  He went about 60 yards with a good blood trail.

Toelke Whip, 62", 50@26; Grizzly Instinct 200 gr; self made Surewood fir arrow.

Thanks for all the compliments.  I'd like to brag him up, but the truth is that he was the only one to offer me his side.  When I shot, all I knew is that it was a pig.  Had no thought that it was a big one.  Shooting under a dim green light from a low ladder stand is kinda different.
