Stalked Boar
« on: September 28, 2015, 05:01:00 PM »
A couple days ago i went out to the lease to scout for the upcoming deer season . I decided to bring my new Toelke Whip with me just in case i stumbled across a hog . Sure enough right before dark this monster came out alone feeding and rooting on a sandbar not far from the river .. I was able to stalk within 40 yards of him and made a perfect shot on him through the shoulder into the heart .. Only went about 50 to 60 yards and piled up with me right on his heels fired up ! And I captured it all on video with a go pro which i'll post soon ..

that is a good shot!  Something to be said about shooting through a big boar shoulder like that!

Congrats!

Pigs are the only game I might take a 40 yard shot, since on the edge of my effective range.  So great shot!  Looking forward to your GoPro pictures.

Good job...those pigs are fun to hunt...just glad they are not on my property.  Had a lease couple years ago that between hogs and free range cows let out every Fall by farmer few hundred acres away...could not keep a food plot or any corn for my deer. hahahaha...They would chase deer out of food plot.

Congrats.
